Pleasure Tour 96 was a solo exhibit mainly dealing with words and the particular feelings they evoke. For the opening, artist Jeffery Laudenslager and I collaborated on a performance with "Obstacles to love". The gallery was dark with only a spotlight on me frantically writing my obstacles to love in red lipstick on tempered glass. Simutaneously, a fuse was burning up a cord that suddenly released an axe which fell and shattered the glass just as I was finishing. Then a hand mysteriosly reached through the shattered glass and handed me roses.
